Denise Miller is the founding attorney of the Law Office of Denise Miller, PA, representing clients in criminal defense and family law throughout Martin and St. Lucie Counties. She has practiced law in Florida for more than 20 years and personally handles every case her office accepts.

A Foundation Built Inside the Courtroom

Attorney Miller’s legal career began as an Associate Attorney representing the Florida Department of Revenue’s Child Support Enforcement division, where she litigated a high volume of family law matters early in her practice.

She then served as a Staff Attorney and Judicial Clerk working directly with Circuit Court judges in both the Family and Criminal Divisions.

In that role, she researched contested legal issues for the court and drafted orders on pending motions and trials, work that gave her a firsthand understanding of how judges actually evaluate and decide cases. That perspective continues to shape how she prepares and presents every matter she handles today.

From there, Attorney Miller became an Associate Attorney with the Law Offices of Richard Rosenbaum, where she handled state and federal criminal matters as well as hundreds of family law cases at both the trial and appellate levels.

On March 4, 2002, she opened her own practice, Law Office of Denise Miller, PA, building a firm dedicated to giving clients direct, personal access to the attorney handling their case.

The Lionel Tate Appeal

Among the matters Attorney Miller is most proud of is her work on the appeal of Lionel Tate, one of the most closely watched juvenile cases in Florida legal history.

Tate was 12 years old when he was charged as an adult with first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison, the first juvenile in the country to receive that sentence at such a young age.

As an Associate Attorney with the Law Offices of Richard Rosenbaum, Attorney Miller helped handle Tate’s appeal, which ultimately succeeded in overturning both the conviction and the life sentence.
